About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement
- Prepare semi-annual and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement, with relevant commentary
- Collaborate with external auditors and support the audit process
- Participate in preparing the Company's annual budget and business plan
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports
- Collaborate with departments and business units to investigate and validate financial information
- Support the Treasury Department's daily operations, including cash position monitoring and issuance of payment orders when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- ACCA or CFA certification is considered an asset
- Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the energy sector or in a services company of comparable financial scale (alternatively at a Big Four audit firm)
- Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Greek Accounting Standards (GAS), as well as an understanding of key taxation principles
- Experience with ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) systems
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel for conducting complex financial analyses and building financial models involving multiple data sets, parameters, scenarios, and data extraction, including dynamic and static data
- Fluent English (C1/C2 level) and the ability to use the language effectively in a professional environment, including financial terminology
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, particularly during financial closing periods, while effectively prioritizing tasks
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and present reports to senior management
- Ability to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies in large datasets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
