About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and provide organizational and technical leadership for the accounting department
Ensure smooth commercial and financial operations
Ensure accurate financial accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Take responsibility for liquidity planning, reporting, and ongoing financial control
Monitor and optimize internal processes and further develop accounting structures
Serve as a point of contact for the management team, auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and relevant accounting standards
Provide professional leadership and support the development of employees in the accounting and finance department
Contribute to financial analyses, budget planning, and strategic commercial matters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed commercial training with further qualification as a certified accountant (m/f/d), a degree in business administration, or an equivalent qualification
Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally with initial management or team leadership experience
In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and financial statement preparation
Ideally, experience in the real estate or housing industry, including knowledge of industry-specific accounting requirements
Proficient use of standard accounting and ERP systems as well as MS Office
Structured, independent, and solutions-oriented approach to work
Strong sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, and communication skills
Enjoyment of leading a team and continuously improving processes
