About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist audit seniors and managers in completing annual statutory external audits for a portfolio of clients
- Prepare audit files and perform audit testing in accordance with International Standards on Auditing
- Support analytical reviews and assist in identifying and resolving technical accounting issues
- Assist in preparing and organising audit documentation and working papers
- Support preparation of financial statements under GAPSME and IFRS
- Carry out basic accounting and administrative tasks during quieter periods
- Document audit findings and prepare clear summaries for review by senior team members
- Support planning and coordination of audit engagements to ensure timely completion
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting in Malta
- Part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent) or currently progressing towards full qualification
- 1–2 years of relevant client audit experience in Malta
- Good knowledge of IFRS, GAPSME, and auditing standards
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in English and Maltese is a must
- Candidates must already be based in Malta
