About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct in-depth research on financial reporting standards and regulations, with a focus on IFRS and GAPSME
Prepare detailed advisory reports for clients, offering insights and guidance on financial reporting matters
Draft and review financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
Develop and deliver presentations on complex financial reporting topics to clients and internal teams
Contribute to the firm's thought leadership by drafting articles on financial reporting trends and developments
Prepare consolidation workings and other workings as required in line with GAPSME or IFRS
Work closely with clients and internal teams
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Candidates must be a qualified accountant or a professional in the final stages of their ACCA qualification
Candidates must have solid experience in accounting or audit, with a keen interest in transitioning or specialising in Financial Reporting
Strong understanding of financial reporting frameworks, particularly IFRS and GAPSME, is required
Applicants must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
Ability to manage data and create reports effectively
An analytical mindset, demonstrating a passion for technical accounting and a commitment to staying current with industry standards and changes
Only candidates already based in Malta will be considered
