About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide Partner-led service and passion for food to Waitrose customers
  • Replenish stock and keep shelves full and products correctly placed
  • Fulfil online customer orders for home delivery
  • Reduce wastage through product due diligence and markdowns
  • Support checkout operations, Click & Collect orders and on-demand customer orders
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and efficient shop environment
  • Work with the wider shop team to support branch operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers
  • Availability for 10–25 hours across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work at East Sheen or Hampton Hill
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is welcomed
  • Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends is desirable
  • Flexible approach to support the whole branch
  • Applicants may be subject to pre-employment vetting, DBS checks and, for some roles, financial probity checks

  • Night Premium of £3.75 per hour for time worked between 22:00–06:00
  • Pay rate increases to £14.80 per hour after 90 days
