About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the implementation, integration, and support of RNP’s connectivity infrastructure
- Configure and modify network equipment in accordance with established technical standards and procedures
- Support the implementation and evolution of connectivity environments used by services hosted on RNP’s infrastructure
- Conduct connectivity tests, technical validations, and troubleshooting activities in production environments
- Support the identification and resolution of incidents related to network infrastructure
- Use monitoring and observability tools to track service performance and availability
- Participate in activities involving the expansion, migration, and modernization of the connectivity infrastructure
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, operating procedures, and configuration records
- Collaborate with internal technical teams, vendors, and partners on service implementation and support
- Contribute to automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives for operations and engineering processes
- Support the implementation and evolution of modern connectivity architectures in Datacenter environments
- Contribute to the quality, reliability, and efficiency of the services provided by RNP
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Networks, Information Systems, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in activities related to the implementation, operation, or support of IP networks
- Experience configuring and administering switches and routers
- Experience in corporate environments, service providers, telecommunications carriers, Datacenters, or academic networks
- Experience with IPv4 and IPv6
- Experience with BGP
- Experience with Ethernet switching
- Experience configuring and managing VLANs
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Experience troubleshooting networks
- Experience preparing technical documentation
- Knowledge of or experience with Datacenter environments, Spine-Leaf architectures, EVPN-VXLAN, Data Center Interconnect (DCI), MPLS, automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tools, NetBox, Grafana, and Zabbix is desirable
- CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, HCIA, or equivalent certifications are considered a plus
