About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage period financial close activities and review GAAP financial reporting deliverables
  • Understand and communicate client accounting requirements to property and finance teams
  • Review leases for proper GAAP and client-policy lease accounting
  • Maintain accounting controls under GAAP, JLL policies, and client policies
  • Lead biannual client budget cycles and periodic reforecast processes
  • Supervise cash management procedures
  • Drive the accounts payable cycle and ensure compliant invoice disbursement
  • Support property teams and respond to accounting and client questions
  • Maintain knowledge of client contract requirements and Main Services Agreements
  • Oversee annual and period purchase orders for recurring contract services
  • Contribute to quarterly business reviews and review financial analysis
  • Manage assigned finance staff performance, succession, growth, and training plans
  • Oversee quarterly KPI data compilation and analysis, including Opex and Capex budget accuracy
  • Facilitate ad hoc reporting and projects
  • Manage accounts receivable objectives and research AR over 30 days past due
  • Identify and implement process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Accounting; CPA preferred
  • 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience required
  • 2-3 years in a controller or supervisory role strongly preferred
  • Property management or other real estate experience preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
  • Preference for property management accounting software such as MRI and Yardi
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
