About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide operational leadership for the engineering team and ensure machinery and systems operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
  • Implement equipment inspection and monitoring programs and define maintenance best practices
  • Evaluate operations to enhance effectiveness and optimize performance across building systems
  • Monitor and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning, boilers, heating, ventilation, pumps, valves, piping, and other mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Oversee HVAC repair and preventive maintenance programs
  • Supervise engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, development, and performance management
  • Manage inventory, prepare purchase orders, develop stock-material sources, and check inventory and equipment conditions
  • Identify safety hazards, implement remediation, administer safety training, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Oversee contractor activities and ensure the Critical Facility Work Authorization process is understood
  • Maintain infrastructure, compliance documentation, building drawings, and regulatory records
  • Foster a culture of safety and professionalism and lead a high-performing team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of facilities-related work experience with 5+ years specifically in a leadership/managerial capacity
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes with understanding of construction planning and execution
  • Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
