About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the API Management Platform strategy and operations
  • Lead the strategic development, deployment, and maintenance of core software platforms and technology infrastructure
  • Oversee engineers and administrators
  • Work with product engineering teams across JLL
  • Negotiate with vendors
  • Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of the API management platform ecosystem
  • Operate and mature JLL’s Azure-based API management platform
  • Develop a strategic plan to mature the platform and drive portfolio initiatives
  • Direct governance, integration, and security of enterprise endpoints using Azure API Management
  • Prioritize and approve platform features and enhancements with product technical leads
  • Participate in system development, including analysis, coding, and testing
  • Lead rollout, maintenance, integration, and upgrading of enterprise software solutions
  • Enforce data protection protocols, identity access rules, backup schedules, and disaster recovery plans
  • Establish real-time monitoring workflows for bugs and latency and maintain uptime goals
  • Help formulate the group’s technology vision and enforce technical standards
  • Develop documentation and communication materials with the enterprise architecture group
  • Direct, mentor, and evaluate DevOps engineers, system administrators, and IT support leads
  • Mentor less experienced analysts
  • Articulate business requirements for technical solution design and engineering
  • Provide ongoing support for organizational applications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years IT experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, MIS, or equivalent experience in corporate IT, including deep hands-on familiarity with cloud environments
  • Minimum 4 years directly managing engineering teams, IT budgets, and technology vendors
  • Deep expertise managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure platforms, including Azure APIM gateway deployment and policy configurations
  • Proven track record supporting ERP, CRM, or IAM tools such as Salesforce, SAP, Okta, and Jira
  • Exceptional ability to explain complex technical vulnerabilities and project roadmaps to executive leadership
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams and manage stakeholders globally across multiple project initiatives
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
  • Excellent technical, analytical, project management, and organizational skills
  • Expertise in API management platforms, including Apigee, Azure APIM, or AWS APIM
  • Understanding of API management best practices, policy creation, authentication, and authorization patterns
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services
  • Proficiency in system monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of security protocols, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection standards
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation
  • Understanding of disaster recovery planning and business continuity protocols
  • Ability to enforce technical standards and design patterns across engineering teams
  • Experience managing enterprise software integrations
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
