About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive energy control procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs
  • Review and approve pre-construction risk assessments to identify hazards and verify control measures
  • Conduct regular project walks across active construction sites and operational facilities
  • Manage vendor and contractor safety programs, including safety orientations and compliance monitoring
  • Collaborate with project teams on first day of business activities and building transitions
  • Verify safety systems, obtain permits and approvals, and develop occupant training programs
  • Participate in incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in an EHS role, preferably within construction, facilities management, or commercial real estate environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing energy control procedures, particularly Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and EHS compliance requirements
  • Proven experience reviewing and approving pre-construction risk assessments and conducting effective safety inspections on active project sites
  • Experience managing vendor and contractor safety programs, including performance evaluation and compliance monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver effective training to diverse audiences including contractors, vendors, and building occupants
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
