About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor maintenance technicians in daily operations, preventive maintenance schedules, and system inspections
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems
- Conduct facility inspections and equipment assessments
- Manage work orders through CMMS and maintain records, logs, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate external vendors and contractors for maintenance services and repairs
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and facility staff
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards, and local regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–7 years of experience in facility maintenance, building engineering, or related technical roles
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems with proven troubleshooting abilities
- Experience leading maintenance teams or supervising technical staff in a commercial facility environment
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and preventive maintenance program implementation
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in mechanical spaces for extended periods
- Valid driver's license for multi-site support or vendor coordination
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
