About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform annual preventive maintenance within a specified geographic territory
- Complete hands-on repairs and maintenance according to JLL standards, codes, laws, and regulations
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems
- Identify energy-saving opportunities through facility system and operational changes
- Perform routine building maintenance, plumbing, and other tasks as necessary
- Independently plan work assignments and perform duties with minimal direct supervision
- Assist as a helper in other trades and with general maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds
- Travel by truck to various locations within the specified geography
- Interact daily with teams in person, by phone, and by email
- Maintain commercial properties in peak operational condition
Requirements
What you’ll need- Universal CFC certification required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial HVAC service and repairs or 5 years military experience that includes work on HVAC systems
- High school graduate or GED
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Hands-on skills and knowledge to complete repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including pumps, motors, air handlers, automation/controls systems, and associated electrical systems
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications, and handheld electronic devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage relationships with team members, contractors, building occupants, and clients
- Knowledge of English language structure, composition, spelling, and grammar
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms, and in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, electrical hazards, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise
