About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems and equipment
- Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interiors/exteriors, grounds, and production equipment
- Become familiar with building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building-related equipment
- Perform facility inspections and due diligence, reporting conditions affecting client occupancy and operations
- Complete hazard assessments and comply with safety procedures, ordinances, codes, and laws
- Practice defensive driving
- Submit P-card receipts daily
- Update work order status in real time
- Use CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed
- Escalate problems or issues to customers and managers in a timely manner
- Attend required work and safety meetings
- Perform call-in work and other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering
- Strong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of overall system design and applications
- Universal CFC recovery certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Valid state driver’s license
- Ability to perform Vehicle Safety Inspection
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel, preferred
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to work from heights and climb ladders up to 30 feet
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, lift, kneel, stoop, and work/extend overhead
- Ability to work in extreme cold and extreme heat
- Ability to drive for long periods of time
- Must be available for call-in work
- Must complete required safety training
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
