About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and administer the Engineering Services team safely, efficiently, and effectively
- Lead maintenance and continuous operation of building systems, including life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cabling, lighting and temperature controls, critical environments, construction, digital systems, and vehicle maintenance
- Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, trade-specific training, and personal development
- Develop documented preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance plans
- Identify and remediate building safety hazards and manage safety training
- Assist with capital planning for infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and building modifications
- Maintain infrastructure, compliance, building drawing, single-line, and regulatory documentation
- Review contractor activities at the site and provide contractors with advanced training and notifications
- Maintain building rounds, readings, engineering logs, and data sheets
- Verify maintenance-parts deliveries and record equipment readings and adjustments
- Manage safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Perform periodic tool and instrument inventory checks
- Advise Chief Engineers across multiple buildings and jurisdictions, including a nuclear activities environment
- Manage Corrigo work-order workflows and audit work orders daily
- Collaborate with the Lead Team on staffing, training, and qualifications
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA in Engineering, Construction, Maintenance, or another related field
- Minimum of 5 years of applicable working experience in building repair and maintenance, plumbing, and electrical
- Ability to analyze various systems, determine causes of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action
- Strong computer skills using CMMS, sourcing/ordering/receiving systems, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Effective written and verbal communication with superiors, peers, and subordinates
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong people skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet
- Ability to perform frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving
- Valid state driver's license
- Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening
- Must be a United States citizen or have appropriate permission and/or visa to work in the United States
- Must not have a disqualifying criminal event or record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
