About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and strategic planning for JLL-managed facilities in Largo, Florida and Cleveland, Tennessee
  • Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across both sites
  • Develop and implement standardized processes, procedures, and best practices while accommodating location-specific requirements
  • Establish regular site visit schedules and maintain leadership presence at each location
  • Manage, mentor, and develop facilities staff across both locations
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and professional development, and ensure adequate staffing
  • Oversee preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
  • Coordinate corrective repairs with internal teams and external contractors
  • Maintain maintenance records and track key performance indicators
  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendors and service contractors
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance, capital projects, and emergency repairs
  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets for both facilities
  • Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, provide financial reporting, review invoices, and manage capital improvement planning
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, building codes, environmental standards, and corporate safety policies
  • Conduct safety audits, coordinate emergency preparedness drills, and lead incident investigations
  • Serve as primary facilities contact for occupants, client leadership, and corporate stakeholders
  • Address concerns, communicate facility updates, conduct business reviews, and provide performance metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of progressive facilities management experience with 3+ years in supervisory or management role
  • Comprehensive understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities with ability to manage remote teams effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize across multiple locations
  • Strong financial acumen including budget development and expense management
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Experience managing multiple sites or geographically dispersed operations preferred
  • Familiarity with GxP or GMP facilities preferred
  • Based in Largo, FL, with 10–20% travel to Cleveland, TN
  • Ability to travel regularly between Largo, FL and Cleveland, TN facilities
  • Must be willing to respond to emergency situations outside normal business hours as needed
  • Ability to conduct site inspections requiring walking, climbing stairs, and accessing mechanical spaces
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Occasional lifting of equipment or materials up to 50 lbs
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
