Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee facilities operations including soft services, janitorial, snow removal, landscaping, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and building automation
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of facilities professionals
  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets, capital improvement plans, and financial forecasts
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality
  • Serve as the primary client liaison through communication, planning, and problem-solving
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, vendor contracts, and service agreements
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, environmental requirements, and accessibility guidelines
  • Conduct property inspections, risk assessments, and performance evaluations
  • Lead renovations, system upgrades, and sustainability initiatives
  • Prepare reports, presentations, analytics, and strategic recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive facilities management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing complex commercial properties
  • Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and delivering measurable cost savings
  • Experience managing Class A office buildings, corporate headquarters, corporate campuses, or multi-site portfolios exceeding 500,000 square feet
  • Experience hiring, training, developing, and retaining high-performing teams
  • Client relationship management abilities and strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial property operations, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), MS Office Suite, and facilities management software platforms
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
