About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver retail financial sector projects end-to-end, including minor and major renovations, new builds, and facility infrastructure upgrades
- Manage branch renovations, bank build-outs, and financial facility infrastructure projects
- Oversee security systems, IT rooms, ATMs, vaults, HVAC, building monitoring, and fire protection systems
- Manage project schedules, budgets, costs, risks, change orders, scope, quality, and safety
- Lead cross-functional teams including designers, architects of record, Operations staff, and Owner Vendors
- Manage stakeholders and build client relationships
- Present project information to C-level executives
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with project stakeholders
- Analyze data and produce reports
- Improve and optimize processes
- Plan strategically and forecast project outcomes
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects across different geographical markets
- Travel 40-50% and conduct extended site visits during critical project phases
- Achieve on-time delivery target of 95%+, budget adherence within approved budgets, client satisfaction scores of 4.5/5.0 or higher, zero-incident safety targets, and quality/deficiency management metrics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 7-10 years project management experience in commercial construction
- 5+ years specific experience in financial services/retail banking projects
- Proven track record managing projects $1M-$25M+ in value
- Experience with branch renovations, bank build-outs, and financial facility infrastructure including security systems, IT rooms, ATMs, and vaults
- Experience with HVAC, building monitoring, fire protection, and monitoring systems
- Understanding of ADA, National Codes, and FED regulations on banking institutions
- Experience with local authorities having jurisdiction, including zoning authorities
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Budget management and cost control expertise
- Risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Change order management and scope control
- Quality assurance and safety management protocols
- Understanding of banking operational workflows
- Knowledge of security requirements including cameras, alarms, and vault systems
- Familiarity with ADA compliance in financial facilities
- Experience with technology infrastructure including ATMs, teller systems, and network requirements
- Proficiency in BIM/VDC platforms including Autodesk Construction Cloud and Procore
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Document control and contract administration
- Permit and regulatory approval processes
- Ability to learn new software quickly and integrate it into day-to-day tasks
- Strong leadership skills managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Stakeholder management and client relationship building
- Ability to present to C-level executives in written and verbal form
