About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of large, complex furniture projects
  • Lead furniture projects independently over 100,000 RSF, including projects with multiple phases
  • Coordinate activities with project management teams, architects, clients, furniture dealers, and other involved parties
  • Develop and maintain furniture Scopes of Work, procurement packages, project plans, budgets, schedules, and open-items logs
  • Coordinate relocation communications and change management plans
  • Incorporate best practices and industry standards into furniture management processes
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client furniture inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborate with project management and construction teams to coordinate furniture installation activities
  • Develop procurement packages and oversee vendor selection, order entry, and management of furniture-related services
  • Review final furniture dealer design deliverables and furniture Bills of Materials for accuracy
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to review project progress, open design items, and issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, interior design, or communications
  • 7+ years of practical experience in a similar role, preferably within the corporate real estate industry such as an A/D firm or furniture dealership
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a project
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of furniture management best practices and industry standards related to specifications and technical coordination of furniture
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings, furniture, and space planning concepts
  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred
  • NCIDQ certification preferred
  • Experience with design software such as CAD or CET preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel for projects with some off-hours site activity, per project requirements
  • Understanding of construction processes and the commercial real estate industry
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
