About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement resilient, scalable solutions for complex PeopleSoft infrastructure
Evaluate integration designs using reliability engineering methodologies
Perform PeopleSoft backend administration, including application and web server management, patching, tools upgrades, and environment refreshes
Lead incident response through root cause analysis and long-term remediation
Participate in an on-call rotation primarily covering the Americas
Plan and support weekend administrative activities and maintenance windows
Build reliability, performance, and recovery safeguards for financial close and month-end PeopleSoft workloads
Build server-level scripts and Python automation
Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and observability
Contribute to architecture and optimization of PeopleSoft workloads on OCI, Oracle Database, and Oracle GoldenGate
Apply Oracle-native GenAI services to monitoring, automation, and operational insight
Lead medium-sized reliability projects and define and track service level objectives
Recommend operational best practices
Coach less experienced colleagues through troubleshooting and knowledge-sharing sessions
Collaborate with Product, Production Support, application, security, and infrastructure teams
Uphold change management, audit, SOX compliance, and disaster recovery standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in PeopleSoft development, functionality, and backend administration, ideally with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2
Experience with PeopleTools three-tier architecture, application server and web server configuration (WebLogic or Oracle HTTP Server/Tuxedo), Process Scheduler administration, and Integration Broker troubleshooting
Experience independently performing PeopleTools installations, upgrades, patching, PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) image application, PeopleTools security administration, environment refresh, cloning, and data masking
Ability to tune application server domains, JVM and web server parameters, and cache settings
Experience diagnosing performance issues using SQL, AppServer, and PeopleCode traces and PeopleSoft-specific or third-party monitoring tools
Strong server-level scripting skills (Unix/Linux shell or PowerShell) and Python
Familiarity applying Oracle-native GenAI services to operational solutions
Working knowledge of Oracle Database structures, including table and index design, tablespace management, and Application Designer
Exposure to Oracle GoldenGate for replication
3+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Knowledge of OCI compute shapes, networking fundamentals (VCN, subnets, NSGs, load balancers), and OCI Monitoring and Logging
Ability to perform root cause analysis across database, application server, and network tiers
Ability to work on-call, primarily covering Americas hours, and support weekend administrative activities as needed
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams
No visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred: exposure to Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle AI Data Platform, disaster recovery on OCI, load balancing and failover, OCI IAM, capacity planning, Terraform, Ansible, observability platforms, DevSecOps, CI/CD, global ERP support, SOX controls, SRE practices, SLOs, error budgets, blameless postmortems, PeopleSoft or Oracle certifications, and enterprise finance automation or GenAI
