Sanitation Technician – Midnight

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform general plant custodial duties and grounds maintenance
- Pack to cover lunch breaks and provide other relief of packers as required
- Perform general cleanup tasks listed on daily cleanup sheets for each shift
- Record completed tasks and document other issues as necessary
- Follow proper handling procedures for cleaning and other chemicals
- Operate floor scrubbers, steamers, and industrial vacuums
- Refill syrup dispensers and change pans
- Clean snow from entrances and sidewalks as necessary
- Follow proper procedures for cleaning biohazard spills and accidents
- Perform related duties as required by the supervisor
- Identify areas needing attention and address or report them as necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing effectively
- Able to legibly and accurately record information
- Good understanding of and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Policies (GMP)
- Must be able to safely lift up to 75 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, reach and regularly use stairs
- Ability to stand on feet 12 hours per day
- Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, including expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be signed off to pack a minimum number of cake cone packs
- Must have demonstrated a good work record and attendance
