About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full lifecycle of assigned federal projects from award through closeout
- Ensure projects meet goals within scope, schedule, budget, and key performance indicators
- Lead contract and subcontract reviews; ensure permits, insurance certificates, and bonds are issued promptly after award
- Develop and submit project planning documents, including Site Staging, Safety, Quality, Waste, and Small Business Subcontracting plans
- Lead Pre-Construction, Progress, and After-Action meetings with agendas and action items
- Prepare the Schedule of Values, oversee billings, review invoices, and monitor job costs and forecasts
- Find, subcontract, and manage contractors, architects, and suppliers as required
- Manage submittals, change orders, and RFIs, including submitting RFIs within 48 hours of notice
- Work with the Superintendent and Operations to monitor schedules and respond to clients and stakeholders
- Manage multiple projects through closeout, including warranty and closeout documents
- Lead contract execution, compliance, project controls, and stakeholder communication across federal projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance
- Advanced knowledge of federal construction compliance, contract requirements, codes, standards, and safety protocols
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling, including building, updating, and maintaining project schedules
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, solicitations, and contracts
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Buildertrend, RMS, and other PM software
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and time management skills
- Minimum of 10 years of construction project management and trade industry experience
- Experience working as or directly with prime contractors on federal projects
- Pass an initial drug test and participate in the random drug testing program
- Ability to work at heights, including on rooftops
- Degree in Construction Management or Project Management preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
