About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsibility for the safe, reliable, available, and economically efficient operation of assigned battery storage assets
  • Monitoring asset performance, technical and commercial availability, operating costs, and asset condition
  • Deriving and implementing specific improvement measures
  • Planning and coordinating maintenance, repairs, and recurring inspections
  • Structured coordination of critical incidents and driving root-cause analyses
  • Ensuring the sustainable resolution of recurring faults
  • Managing manufacturers and service partners based on clear performance requirements
  • Monitoring long-term service and operations management contracts
  • Pursuing warranty, guarantee, and contractual performance claims
  • Ensuring compliance with operator obligations as well as safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting operational handovers, acceptance procedures, technical retrofits, and modernization projects
  • Preparing decision-making materials and escalations for management
  • Further developing standards, processes, and operating models together with the Operations team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in technical asset management, asset operations, or engineering
  • Ideally, experience in battery storage or energy infrastructure
  • Familiarity with maintenance, servicing, and managing manufacturers and technical service providers
  • Knowledge of battery energy storage systems, battery management, power electronics, energy management and control systems, and electrical balance-of-plant systems is an advantage
  • Experience in contract management and in handling service agreements, warranties, or guarantee claims
  • Strong ability to analyze technical interrelationships and assess their economic impact
  • Independent ownership, early identification of risks, and reliable execution
  • Very good German skills, at least C1 level
  • English skills at B2 level
  • Willingness to work regularly two to three days per week from the office in Aschheim near Munich
