About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors and advisors for an assigned group of recordkeeping-only plans
  • Work with Client Service Managers to provide client service
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and chats from plan sponsors and advisors
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for payroll upload inquiries
  • Request information from plan sponsors and advisors as needed by other departments
  • Obtain missing signatures for plan documents and amendments
  • Monitor and proactively communicate annual compliance project needs, deadlines, and filings
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and legislative/regulatory changes
  • Prioritize, research, and resolve client questions related to technology, payroll, and plan matters
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to support operational compliance
  • Participate in ongoing retirement-plan training
  • Maintain documentation on client projects and responses within JULY’s software
  • Complete ad hoc projects and tasks as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of customer service or retirement plan experience
  • Strong written and verbal customer service skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and follow tasks through to completion
  • Desire and willingness to serve clients and be empathetic to their needs
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Ability to explain complex items in a clear and understandable manner
  • Professional and concise verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Collaborative rapport and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations in a positive and professional manner
