About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the monthly and annual accounting close, preparing and reviewing journal entries
- Actively assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with SUSEP, IFRS, and US GAAP standards
- Organize and provide documentation and offer technical support during internal and external audits
- Prepare, organize, and review accounting data and statistical schedules for monthly regulatory reporting
- Support the Controllership team’s regulatory function
- Assist in organizing the department’s activities and provide support to other team members, ensuring technical quality and efficient delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel
- Significant experience with the accounting close process
- Previous experience preparing financial statements, including the consolidation process
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
- Experience in insurance companies and knowledge of SUSEP regulations (preferred)
- Knowledge of programming tools, especially VBA and Python (a significant plus)
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience at audit firms, preferably the Big Four (preferred)
