About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care
  • Apply a holistic approach addressing patients’ physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and functional status
  • Collect assessment information to develop comprehensive standards of care and evaluate nursing outcomes
  • Follow established nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Perform initial, ongoing, and reassessment of patient needs
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adequate supplies
  • Operate nursing equipment knowledgeably
  • Educate peers, patients, and patients’ families
  • Support and promote Jupiter Medical Center’s mission and vision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Must maintain current credentials and/or certification
  • Must maintain compliance with hospital procedural standards
  • Must complete annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service, and health requirements, including new employee orientation attendance
  • Must participate in TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Must maintain required professional licensing and/or certifications
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, remain detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated
  • Ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs and carry/lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to frequently assist with lifting patients and heavy equipment
