About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and manage the semantic layer by creating the logical data layer and centralizing business rules
Contribute to data governance, quality, and standardization
Organize data to facilitate access for analysts
Work directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into efficient dimensional models
Implement and promote AI tools, such as Claude, to optimize development, documentation, and data processing
Maintain and evolve orchestration, unit testing, and version control processes
Apply engineering best practices to the analytics context
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Analysts, and stakeholders on the Analytics Platform team
Ensure data is organized, available, and processed efficiently to support prescriptive analytics and company decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced SQL: Proficiency in complex transformations and query optimization
Strong experience with dimensional modeling and analytics environments
Practical knowledge of programming languages, preferably Python
Practical knowledge of orchestration systems, such as Airflow or Dagster
Practical knowledge of version control tools, such as Git
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), including table and query processing optimization in BigQuery
Experience with Data Warehouse or Data Lakehouse architectures, with a focus on cost and performance optimization
Familiarity with and openness to using Generative AI in the workflow
Experience with unit testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Knowledge of A/B testing infrastructure
Ability to work at the intersection of technical and business analysis
