About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Financial Controller with the end-to-end design and implementation of a revised KPI and MI reporting framework
Include financial, operational, and SaaS-specific metrics in the reporting framework
Develop and maintain a master KPI library with definitions, calculation methodologies, ownership, and agreed refresh cadence
Assess the feasibility of proposed KPIs and MI by evaluating data availability
Identify gaps or limitations in current system configuration and work with relevant teams to improve data capture, coding, and extraction
Build, test, and embed quality MI packs for monthly management reporting using Excel, Power BI, or another tool determined through the project
Present MI outputs and project progress updates to the Financial Controller and senior management
Communicate insights, trends, and recommended actions
Provide ad hoc financial and commercial analysis to support the Financial Controller and divisional or Group decision-making
Support the Financial Controller with other key projects as required
Report to the Technology Solutions Financial Controller and collaborate closely with the Divisional senior management team and Group Finance team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience at Financial Controller or equivalent level
Proven track record designing and delivering MI/KPI reporting improvements, ideally within a technology, SaaS, managed services, or professional services business
Experience with an ERP and evaluating data availability and system readiness before committing to a reporting design
Ability to identify what is and isn't achievable within current system constraints
Advanced Excel/Power BI skills
Ability to build structured, auditable MI reporting
Comfortable working independently in an agile, acquisition-led environment with competing priorities and evolving data landscapes
Excellent stakeholder management
Able to translate finance requirements for non-finance audiences and present to Director and C-Suite level
Prior contractor experience operating within a Group Finance function alongside an incumbent permanent team (desirable)
Familiarity with recurring revenue/SaaS business model KPIs (ARR, churn, NRR, etc.) (desirable)
Experience with Sage 200, Sage CRM, SQL (desirable)
