Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to backend services, data pipelines, and ML pipelines supporting products used by commercial insurance underwriters
Build and improve systems that ingest, process, and reason over large volumes of structured and unstructured data
Work with documents, third-party sources, and model outputs
Own features end to end
Collaborate with full-stack, backend, ML, and platform engineers
Contribute to designing, building, testing, and operating production systems at scale

Requirements

What you’ll need

Approximately 1 year of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems
Strong fundamentals in at least one programming language
Knowledge of Python
Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Curiosity about AI, data, and real-world applications of machine learning
Ability to take ownership and work with ambiguity
Ability to move fast, learn quickly, and maintain high standards
Appreciation for direct feedback, meritocracy, and transparency
