About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform warehousing activities including issuing, receiving, storing, reconstitution, inventorying, and shipping equipment
- Receive and promptly and accurately unpack shipments
- Validate shipment quantities against shipping documentation
- Store equipment accurately in appropriate warehouse bins/locations
- Pack and ship equipment accurately
- Pick customer orders
- Process customer returns
- Track inventory using a Warehouse Management System
- Perform other job-related duties as required
- Support the Marine Corps Logistics Command's Consolidated Storage Program for bulk and individual gear and equipment
- Support organization, individual issue, recovery, storage, requisitioning, maintenance, repair, visibility, accountability, shelf-life management, and forecasting for ICE, CBRN-D, STAP, and SWS&CN equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates must be at least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) investigation to obtain base access and DoD computer system access
- Demonstrate written and oral communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate good time-management skills
- Ability to manage workload with minimal oversight
- Ability to obtain forklift safety certification
- Understanding of inventory control systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to stand and walk one-third to two-thirds of the time
- Ability to talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; close vision; color vision; depth perception; and ability to correct and adjust focus
- Must pass pre-employment and random substance abuse testing and background verification checks
- Military supply occupational specialty experience preferred, including USMC MOS 3043 or 3051, Army MOS 92Y, Air Force AFSC 2S051, or Navy Logistics Specialist (LS)
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse-duty experience preferred
- Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements preferred
- Proven knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems for inventory management and control preferred
