About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as a hands-on engineer in an AI Professional Services (Forward-Deployed) Engineering pod
- Embed with priority enterprise customers
- Own technical delivery from initial discovery and prototyping through stable production
- Build customer-specific capabilities that provide immediate operational value
- Turn broadly useful customer capabilities into durable platform primitives
- Build production skills and agents
- Create automated evaluation suites with ground-truth test scenarios, golden datasets, and regression suites
- Measure semantic correctness, tool-call fidelity, and behavioral stability
- Implement observability and continuous tuning using current observation and measurement techniques
- Conduct architecture reviews and design agentic systems
- Extract technical requirements from complex enterprise environments and rapidly design working systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years in production software engineering
- Deep hands-on experience building backend services, distributed systems, and APIs in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go
- Personally write, review, and ship production code
- Direct experience building and deploying stateful agent workflows, tool/function calling, structured outputs, context window optimization, and production RAG pipelines
- Experience with hybrid search, semantic chunking, and re-ranking
- Proven experience acting as a technical lead with external engineering teams
- Experience as a Forward-Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer with production code ownership, or founding engineer
- Ability to conduct architecture reviews and design agentic systems
- Ability to enter complex, unfamiliar enterprise environments, extract technical requirements from ambiguous business problems, and rapidly design working systems
- Strongly preferred: hands-on experience authoring or consuming Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients
- Strongly preferred: background in ASR domain vocabulary biasing and TTS pronunciation tuning
- Strongly preferred: experience enforcing strict tenant isolation and preventing cross-tenant context leakage
