About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop product layout designs for security screening equipment based on technical requirements
Design product enclosures and mechanical components using sheet metal processing, milling, turning, welding, 3D printing, injection moulding, thermoforming and extrusion
Perform basic strength simulations of critical components
Prepare technical documentation in accordance with relevant ISO standards
Support production and supervise the implementation of designs at different stages
Participate in the assembly of prototypes and pre-production samples
Identify opportunities for design optimisation and implement design improvements
Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams throughout the product lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
3–6 years of professional experience in mechanical design
Experience with SolidWorks CAD
Good knowledge of metal processing technologies, including sheet metal bending and cutting, turning and milling
Basic knowledge of plastic processing technologies, including 3D printing, injection moulding, thermoforming and extrusion
Good understanding of strength of materials
Knowledge of basic electrical engineering and electronics
Understanding of basic interchangeability principles and tolerances
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Good communication skills
Portfolio of relevant design work is highly appreciated
Native Russian and English at B1/B2 level
