About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support tiered service delivery, data pipeline stability, and server administration for Department of the Navy enterprise analytics systems
Coordinate ingestion, conversion, and optimization of legacy data models transitioning into Tableau within the Jupiter environment
Align server configurations, user access control, and workbook performance with DoD cybersecurity mandates and enterprise uptime standards
Act as the primary escalation checkpoint for system access issues, dashboard performance bottlenecks, and publishing errors
Manage Tableau Server/Cloud site topology, monitor backgrounder processes, refresh data extracts, and configure user permissions
Investigate and resolve anomalies, schema drift, and data type discrepancies during legacy database stream conversion for Tableau
Conduct server maintenance, including backups, transaction log purges, and memory/RAM optimization
Implement DISA STIGs, mitigate vulnerabilities identified by ACAS/Tenable scans, and manage secure Active Directory objects
Maintain SOPs, system topologies, data mapping dictionaries, infrastructure change logs, system documentation, and knowledge articles
Recommend improvements for interoperability among Databricks, Tableau, Qlik, and related systems in Jupiter/Advana
Troubleshoot complex multi-tier application workflow issues involving current capabilities, data structures, and user access requirements
Manage role-based access controls supporting FTM/FLTMPS workflows and training access
Collaborate with Government and LS Training Execution Contractor/vendor personnel to keep database and system workflows aligned with training materials
Provide technical input for training material updates and maintain alignment with system enhancements, performance upgrades, and new FTM features
Prepare system environments for demonstrations, including data availability and account provisioning
Support technical reports and briefings for Government leadership on system issues, data quality, risks, and end-user access
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
Four (4) to six (6) years of hands-on experience administering virtualized enterprise environments
Proven administrative experience with Tableau Server/Cloud, including extract scheduling and site administration
Experience with modern cloud data environments
Must meet DoD 8570 requirements for IAT II or higher, such as Security+, CySA+, or CASP+
Active DoD Secret security clearance
Generally, U.S. citizenship required
Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks
Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
Experience supporting Department of War or comparable federal agency or systems
Experience supporting tiered service delivery, systems administration, and Tableau
Experience with FTM data integration, workflows, and Navy enterprise standards
Experience supporting training materials development or technical demonstrations is highly desirable
Ability to work full-time and additional hours as needed
