About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and take end-to-end ownership of complex frontend features from initial scoping and technical design through deployment, monitoring, and follow-up
Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
Lead technical design discussions, analyze tradeoffs, and document decisions
Identify and address technical debt, performance issues, and reliability risks proactively
Mentor and support less-experienced engineers through code review feedback, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions
Collaborate with product managers and designers to clarify requirements, surface risks, and ensure features meet user and business needs
Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and demos
Improve team processes, tooling, and engineering standards
Advocate for technical improvements with clear reasoning and evidence
Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity and code quality
Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and approaches

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrated experience independently designing and delivering complex frontend features in a production environment; equivalent experience, transferable skills, or non-traditional career paths are welcome
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
Solid experience building user interfaces with a modern component-based framework such as React or similar
Good understanding of how frontend systems interact with APIs and backend services
Experience debugging and optimizing across the frontend/backend boundary
Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, or end-to-end)
Genuine care for code quality and long-term maintainability
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in design documents, code reviews, and team discussions
Ability to give and receive feedback constructively
Track record of taking ownership of work through to completion
Fluent English communication skills
Comfort working in an agile team environment with iterative delivery, regular collaboration, and shared accountability
Comfort working in a hybrid model, with at least three office days per week
Experience working on advertising technology, user engagement features, or revenue-impacting frontend products is helpful
Familiarity with A/B experimentation frameworks or feature flagging systems is helpful
Experience mentoring or supporting the growth of other engineers is helpful
