About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the technical owner of the Tricentis Tosca tool, defining the automation solution architecture and usage standards adopted by the team
Install, configure, and administer the Tosca environment, including repositories, users and permissions, licenses, DEX execution agents, and Test Data Service
Plan and implement Tosca integration with ALM tools such as Azure DevOps and qTest, ensuring traceability across requirements, test cases, executions, and defects
Integrate Tosca automated executions into CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins
Develop complex automation scripts for multiple systems and Web and API interfaces, including conditional logic, exception handling, and reusable components
Define standards for building Modules, TestCases, and ExecutionLists, as well as repository naming, versioning, and organization
Review automation artifacts produced by the team
Conduct training sessions, workshops, and technical documentation, and provide daily guidance to promote Model-Based Test Automation best practices
Support leadership with automation strategy, effort estimation, and scenario prioritization
Define and monitor automation quality KPIs, such as coverage, success rate, and execution time
Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving the tool and its integrations, working with the vendor’s support team when necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven, solid experience in test automation using Tricentis Tosca, with experience at the architecture and tool configuration level
Experience installing, configuring, and administering the Tosca environment, including multi-user repositories, DEX, Test Data Service, and licensing
Proven experience integrating Tosca with ALM tools and CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps
In-depth knowledge of the Model-Based Test Automation methodology and Tosca’s structure, including Modules, TestCases, ExecutionLists, and Test Data Service
Experience developing complex automation scripts, including Web interface automation using the X-Browser engine and API automation for REST/SOAP services using Tosca API Scan
Experience providing technical training and mentoring QA and automation professionals
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git for managing test artifacts
Excellent communication, teaching, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Active Tricentis certifications are a plus: Tricentis Automation Specialist Level 1 (AS1), Level 2 (AS2), and Test Data Specialist Level 1 (TDS1)
Experience with other tools in the Tricentis ecosystem, such as qTest and LiveCompare, is a plus
Experience with automation in SAP environments, including S/4HANA and/or ECC, SAP FIORI, and SAP GUI, is a plus
Knowledge of T-SQL for database data manipulation and validation is a plus
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus
