About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and support SSIS code
- Write new Python code for the Klondike teams
- Develop high-quality database solutions
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
- Understand dimensional data models
- Create and troubleshoot stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
- Review and interpret business reporting requirements
- Research required data and create useful reporting deliverables
- Analyze existing SQL queries to improve performance
- Suggest new queries
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
- Provide scheduled management reports in a timely manner
- Investigate exceptions related to asset movement
- Develop and analyze SQL Server code objects and identify defects, recommending performance improvements
- Respond to issues, clearly explain root causes, and propose solutions
- Communicate with application teams and respond to their questions and concerns
- Perform QA development and support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Database knowledge: MS SQL, Azure, and AWS
- Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and AI tools
- Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and Python
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA/SQL Server Developer working with SQL Server 2017/2019/2022
- Strong development experience with SQL Server, SSIS, stored procedures, and Python
- Experience with operating systems and data warehousing
- Detailed knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS packages, and SQL Server Reporting Services
- Experience with Python coding
- Experience with transactional SQL and SSIS packages
- Experience with version control and code deployment across multiple databases
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues in real time while maintaining data access and integrity
- Strong communication skills and flexibility regarding working hours and work direction
- AWS (S3, RDS, EC2), Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica development, load automation, ServiceNow, and change management processes are a plus
- Experience with AI code generators for PowerShell and SQL is a plus
