About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee daily warehouse operations
- Lead teams to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused performance
- Supervise personnel, including scheduling, work assignments, performance management, training, and problem resolution
- Lead daily shift huddles and communicate operational goals, performance updates, and safety topics
- Hold supervising staff accountable for adherence to job requirements
- Monitor and maintain labor efficiency and performance management through labor planning and timekeeping system oversight
- Manage inventory accuracy and support physical inventory counts
- Resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis
- Develop and update SOPs for warehouse operations
- Ensure adherence to SOPs across assigned locations
- Ensure all training requirements are met throughout the organization
- Develop new training programs as needed
- Train and mentor new employees on SOPs, forklift certification, and safety best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of 3PL warehouse management experience
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld RF scanners
- Forklift operating experience
- Willingness to obtain trainer certification through internal training
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce and build a team-oriented culture
- Effective communication
- Accountability
- Employee development and performance management skills
- Ability to gather information from various sources, analyze data, and make recommendations for improvements
- Willingness to travel as needed to monitor operations
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds independently or with assistance
- Ability to work around powered equipment and wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, fumes, and odors
