About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and longevity
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment
- Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Communicate with clients and team members regarding service findings and recommendations
- Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and system conditions
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or HVAC certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role
- Experience servicing and / or install VRF systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components
- EPA 608 certification (required)
- Ability to support work in the NC / SC Markets
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- NATE certification or equivalent preferred
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment preferred
- Familiarity with digital service tools and mobile work order platforms preferred
