About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and longevity
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment
  • Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Communicate with clients and team members regarding service findings and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and system conditions
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or HVAC certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role
  • Experience servicing and/or installing VRF systems
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components
  • EPA 608 certification (required)
  • Ability to support work in the NC / SC Markets
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
  • NATE certification or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with digital service tools and mobile work order platforms preferred
