About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, direct, and coordinate subcontractor work on site
- Ensure construction schedules, quality, workmanship, and customer expectations are met
- Manage and coordinate mechanical construction projects from conception to completion
- Order materials and equipment, issue subcontracts, develop billings, and manage RFIs, change orders, and submittals
- Keep project team members fully informed of project information
- Maintain knowledge of contract conditions, work scope, specifications, construction details, and quality standards
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues
- Establish project cost-control centers for equipment, materials, labor, subcontracts, and miscellaneous costs
- Manage large jobs with minimal supervision
- Procure and manage subcontractors and equipment vendors
- Regularly inspect jobsites for contract compliance, workmanship, and safety
- Complete projects on time and ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicate with customers, building owners, subcontractors, and field support staff

Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management or equivalent required
- Proven working experience in Construction Management or related field
- Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Familiarity with construction management software packages and strong computer skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Ability to work under deadlines, multitask, and manage changing priorities
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus and will be required upon hiring
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a construction environment with overhead reach and use step ladders, extension ladders, power tools, and hand tools
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours and weekends as required
- Flexible domestic travel
- B.S. in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is a plus
