About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Verify that orders are welded and assembled according to specifications in manufacturing drawings and work routers
  • Maintain 5-S within the department
  • Ensure units are properly and safely brazed and assembled according to the correct manufacturing drawing and part number
  • Participate in brazing department team goals and ship accurate orders on time according to the production schedule
  • Work with engineering to revise prints or report discrepancies on routers or bills of material
  • Ensure correct parts are issued to the job and follow dimensions on manufacturing drawings
  • Follow daily priorities and supervisor instructions
  • Follow process control plans, routings, and work instructions
  • Ensure parts are consistently brazed and built to print
  • Follow safety, quality, corporate, and site policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior exposure to Lean manufacturing environment preferred
  • 1-year prior brazing experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and team oriented
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to comprehend engineering drawings, routings, bill of materials, and work instructions
  • Proven ability in brazing, specializing in copper, preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills, technical skills, and communication skills
  • Must have the ability to become company-certified in overhead crane usage
  • Ability to deal with change and respond quickly to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain consistent braze patterns
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to regularly hand lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to meet the stated physical and vision requirements
