About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support customer relationships by maintaining deep product technical knowledge
  • Provide technical advice, technical support, and technical expertise to expand the market and address customer inquiries, problems, and needs
  • Liaise with Sales Engineering, Productivity Engineering, and Inside Sales to support customers’ technical needs
  • Become an expert in company products and applications across end-markets
  • Monitor cost savings and expansion into untapped market applications
  • Analyze company products versus competitors’ offerings and advise on product advantages for specific applications
  • Analyze complex application needs and develop recommendations balancing customer business needs
  • Conduct product and application testing
  • Prepare and present progress, status, and forecasting reports
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, training opportunities, and forecasts
  • Support sales growth through product/technology-based customer cost-saving initiatives
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Manufacturing, Technology, and other internal teams to align information and goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates degree required; bachelor’s preferred
  • 5–8 years of relevant work experience required
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering
