About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Be an expert in Kennametal’s products and applications across end-markets
- Identify cost savings opportunities and expansion into untapped market applications
- Understand differences between Kennametal products and competitors’ offerings
- Provide expert advice on product advantages for specific applications
- Analyze complex application needs and develop recommendations supporting customer business needs
- Conduct product and application testing
- Prepare and present progress, status, and forecasting reports
- Maintain expert knowledge of industry trends, training opportunities, and forecasts
- Support sales growth by using company products and technology to design and execute customer cost savings initiatives
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Manufacturing, Technology, and other internal customers to align goals and share information
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates degree required; bachelor’s preferred
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience required
- Background in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering
