About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage plant maintenance and facilities
  • Partner with operational leadership to achieve operational objectives
  • Ensure plant compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Develop facilities maintenance, skilled trades, utilities, and capital plans
  • Lead facility profit and loss responsibility, quality control, and maintenance process development and conformance
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and other business functions to resolve maintenance and facility needs
  • Prioritize maintenance requests and deploy resources to address critical daily needs
  • Manage maintenance processes and methods to deliver equipment uptime and capability within budget goals
  • Develop asset maintenance plans using preventive and predictive methodologies, root cause analysis, and OEM recommendations
  • Develop and manage the Management of Change process for facility and equipment modifications, upgrades, installations, and removals
  • Track department KPI metrics and goal attainment, including corrective action plans
  • Implement and maintain TPM programs
  • Propose cost-reduction and operational-performance projects and lead action items
  • Develop scopes, budgets, equipment specifications, economic justifications, and documentation for capital projects
  • Supervise outside contractors and suppliers
  • Manage maintenance staff, including performance management, skills-gap assessments, and individual development plans
  • Make decisions affecting business unit results

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred
  • Technical leadership experience required
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and installation background in an industrial environment
  • 3 years previous experience in manufacturing, specifically in a maintenance leadership or engineering position
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement TPM systems
  • Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
  • Proficient with Maintenance ERP systems (SAP)
  • Experience with CMMS or similar systems
  • Machining experience
  • Proficient with engineering software tools (MS Project, MS Office, and AutoCAD)
