About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform essential job functions within manufacturing departments
  • Ensure continuous product flow
  • Participate in new product development
  • Set up and operate several types of conventional or CNC machines
  • Work on complex parts to close tolerances with average to complicated setups
  • Select appropriate feeds, speeds, and tooling
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and production efficiency issues
  • Ensure appropriate materials and tools are available
  • Support Lean Enterprise, Quality, Safety, and Productivity initiatives
  • Work under the Manufacturing Manager and Off-Shift Production Supervisor, with daily functional direction from the Senior Manufacturing Coordinator and/or Team Leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school or GED graduate required
  • Additional technical school training preferred
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Versatile machining experience
  • Strong mechanical background helpful
  • Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing a plus
  • Ability to walk, reach, sit, bend, and lift and carry over 40 lbs
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 45 to 85 degrees
