About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare clean, quality product and assemble it into proper sintering heats
- Select the sequence of orders to build heats according to the open furnace schedule
- Work within standard procedures while accounting for unique batch requirements
- Ensure product is processed according to proper specifications
- Verify product quantity and style
- Inspect product under a microscope to determine steps to remove loose powder and flashing
- Brush and blow off product, flip it onto foam trays, and clean the opposite side
- Return product to a clean tray and build heats to be sintered
- Scan correct production information into the system
- Scan into the furnace build once the process is complete
- Perform press setup and operate the press as needed
- Follow safety procedures and established operating procedures/work instructions
- Follow the green insert control plan and proper routings/specifications
- Meet daily departmental production goals
- Communicate safety, quality, or product issues with supervisors, team members, and across shifts
- Run orders by due date
- Solve moderate to complex problems using knowledge of insert styles and production processes, coordinating with technical experts when needed
- Escalate recurring problems and major decisions to the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have High School diploma or GED
- 2 year technical degree preferred
- Ability to work 3rd Shift, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
- Safety glasses with side-shields required
- Safety Shoes are required
- Gloves and cut resistant gloves when necessary
- Approximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight hour work period
- Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending
- Ability to lift insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds
- Follow Press Setup Sheet and Inspection Standards
- Must inspect and modify tooling as required
