About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the software engineering director or engineering mentor on assignments that further the team’s objectives
- Contribute to production code, develop test applications, or build test frameworks
- Create documentation, reports, and presentations for project tracking or technical review
- Build reports, APIs, web services, web development solutions, ETL jobs, database development, and other required development tasks on KCE’s proprietary software
- Develop new features and functionalities in the existing codebase
- Populate, analyze, and manipulate databases in MS SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Python and/or C#, .NET, HTML, CSS
- Experience with Visual Studio Code / Visual Studio, GitHub, and Azure
- Knowledge of client-server concepts and web services
- General knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines and Docker containers
- Exposure to object-oriented design principles, data structures, and design patterns
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in clean energy and power markets
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with SQL and large data sets is a plus
