Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team responsible for the strategy, development, and performance of consumer banking products
  • Design, develop, and manage consumer banking products and services
  • Oversee product acquisition strategies, credit decisioning processes, and portfolio performance metrics
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance product offerings and service delivery
  • Use industry research, competitive intelligence, and data insights to identify and target profitable client segments
  • Identify and resolve product and system inefficiencies affecting client acquisition and relationship deepening
  • Manage vendor relationships supporting product delivery and innovation
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve performance goals and foster professional growth
  • Define product vision and roadmap aligned with organizational goals, market trends, and customer demands
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation and development through launch and ongoing optimization
  • Prioritize customer needs, behaviors, and feedback in product decisions
  • Assess and mitigate regulatory, operational, and financial risks throughout the product lifecycle
  • Analyze complex challenges and develop data-driven solutions to improve product performance and customer satisfaction
  • Manage a product suite by prioritizing investments and balancing risk and return
  • Drive continuous improvement and introduce new ideas to enhance products and competitive advantage

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Equivalent experience (required)
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services or a comparable industry (required)
  • 7+ years in product management, community development, marketing, or communications, with a strong emphasis on compliance and risk management (preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, financial principles, and market dynamics
  • Knowledge of regulatory, operational, and financial risk assessment and mitigation
  • Financial modeling, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays
  • Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with 3+ days in office
  • Ability to comply with KeyBank policies, procedures, Code of Conduct, and ethical standards
