About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support and maintain Cisco MDS SAN environments, including upgrades, configuration, and performance optimization
Manage Fibre Channel fabrics, zoning, VSANs, and related connectivity components
Monitor storage and SAN health using Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC/DCNM)
Troubleshoot performance, latency, and connectivity issues across the storage environment
Configure and manage Pure Storage FlashArray and FlashBlade platforms
Provision and maintain storage resources, snapshots, host mappings, and capacity management
Improve operational efficiency through automation and scripting
Support disaster recovery and business continuity solutions across multiple data centers
Maintain replication, backup, and recovery processes
Participate in disaster recovery testing and recovery planning initiatives
Ensure storage platforms meet enterprise security, audit, and regulatory requirements
Support access controls, authentication integrations, and audit logging
Address security findings and maintain compliance standards
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and database teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise storage, SAN, or infrastructure environments
Experience working with Fibre Channel storage networks and enterprise storage platforms
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure, application, and database teams
This position is NOT eligible for employment visa sponsorship for non-U.S. citizens
Preferred: Experience administering Cisco MDS 9000 Series SAN switches and Fibre Channel fabrics
Preferred: Experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC/DCNM) or similar SAN management platforms
Preferred: Hands-on experience with Pure Storage FlashArray and/or FlashBlade
Preferred: Knowledge of disaster recovery, replication technologies, snapshots, and recovery best practices
Preferred: Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services, healthcare, or other highly governed industries
Preferred: Familiarity with storage security concepts including RBAC, MFA, encryption, and audit logging
Preferred: Experience supporting Dell PowerScale (Isilon), Dell ObjectScale/ECS, or similar NAS/Object Storage solutions
Preferred: Experience integrating storage with VMware vSphere/ESXi, Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes, or Nutanix AHV
Preferred: Exposure to Cisco UCS environments
Preferred: Experience with automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or Bash
Preferred: Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP Data Center, Pure Storage FlashArray or FlashBlade certifications, or other storage/infrastructure-related certifications
