About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, develop, and close end-user-based equipment finance/leasing transactions
  • Manage a territory of approximately $45MM
  • Directly solicit companies and collect customer and transaction information
  • Maintain the client management system
  • Package and price transactions to meet business objectives
  • Develop business and prospect for new opportunities
  • Manage existing client relationships
  • Structure transactions within product, residual, and pricing guidelines
  • Apply Key's risk philosophy when reviewing customer financial statements
  • Cover middle-market and small corporate companies meeting credit criteria
  • Develop collaborative relationships across Credit, BPU, and Syndications/KeyBanc Capital Markets teams
  • Articulate industry findings and trends to internal and external constituents
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with KeyBank policies and procedures and conduct business ethically

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must reside in the target territory
  • More than 6 years of equipment leasing industry sales experience focused on end-user relationships
  • Proven leasing selling skills
  • Time and territory management skills
  • Training and presentation skills
  • Computer skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics, or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Solid background selling tax and non-tax related products
  • Understanding and application of financial and credit analysis
  • Working knowledge of computer-based pricing models and customer relationship management software
  • Ability to handle overnight travel approximately 5–6 nights per month
  • Ability to travel more than 25% of the time within the territory
  • Strong selling skills
  • Ability to operate independently and within a team environment
  • Proven ability to structure and sell true lease transactions
  • Expert-level understanding of the platform's industry positioning
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Base salary range of $96,000.00–$181,000.00 annually
