About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage in design review, cost estimating, construction planning, scheduling, and equipment procurement
- Coordinate communications and work among KFI project teams, clients, general contractors or construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Ensure complete project documentation and distribute it to appropriate stakeholders
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor work to ensure quality meets or exceeds KFI and client standards
- Attend construction meetings and represent client and KFI needs
- Gather field information to support the project team
- Research and identify root causes of problems
- Inspect equipment and critically observe equipment testing
- Review and clarify construction documents as needed
- Communicate with appropriate KFI staff to expedite resolution of customer problems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 10 years of construction and field experience
- Ability to engage others and build credibility quickly
- Ability to comprehend technical work in the field and convey situations and problems concisely
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Demonstrated maturity and self-confidence to work with a wide variety of individuals
- Collaborative and self-directed
- Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing circumstances
- Willingness to travel and be on a job site for weeks at a time
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering/Construction, or related experience in an Agri-business operation (preferred)
- Strong technical skills and ability to understand and apply engineering and design principles and standards
- Fundamental understanding of millwright, piping, mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural disciplines
- Cost estimating experience
- Industrial project experience, with agri-business preferred
- Ability to work in tough construction-site terrain and lift or move field testing equipment
- Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
